More buzz about declining VMT

Following up on an earlier post, we’ve gathered a few more articles that discuss the decrease in vehicle miles traveled—especially by younger individuals.  The articles touch on the disconnect between transit users and those making decisions about transit funding (link), the change in the status of owning a drivers license and the rise of social media (link), the increasing choices of mobility options and desire to live in urban environments (link), whether the economy is a contributing factor in mode choice (link) and how developers and businesses have taken notice (link).
